7th International Symposium on NBIA & Related Disorders

VIRTUAL CONFERENCE - Sept. 30 – Oct. 3, 2020

We invite all researchers interested in learning more about the most common Neurodegeneration with Brain Iron Accumulation (NBIA) disorders to take part in our 7th international scientific symposium. This virtual event features low costs for participants and a welcoming forum for sharing ideas, setting research priorities and networking.

More than 30 NBIA researchers will share their latest work and answer your questions. At the end of each day, you will be welcomed to a roundtable discussion to help determine research priorities for each disorder. Early-career researchers are encouraged to attend.

Because this conference is for scientists, NBIA families won’t be taking part. Instead, authorized NBIA nonprofit groups will represent them and share the information later, in lay terminology.

By holding this symposium virtually for the first time, we believe it will reach scientists who would not otherwise be able to attend. We offer several ways to network. Your contact information will be available to other registered participants who agree to share their profiles a few days before the symposium starts. During the event, Networking Lounges will provide general gathering spots for participants and Private Lounges will be available for booking 30-minute meetings in advance for one-on-one or other private discussions.

For researchers who agree, talks will be recorded and made available later to anyone interested. Confidential information, such as preliminary data, won’t be recorded at the speaker’s request.

The symposium will include virtual exhibits and booths for companies and researchers wishing to present information or products.
